7th Grade ELA

Newlin's 7th graders have been working on an extended brain break that came to fruition today! Their task was to create a fully functioning basketball court in honor of March Madness. Some were very accurate and some were more creative, but they had a blast doing it the last few weeks!

Give Next & Kinders

Middle school students in Give Next got to help our Kindergarteners with their subtraction skills by playing Hungry Hungry Hippos! This is the best part about being in a K-8 school - all ages work together to help each other learn.

Kindergarten & Third Grade PBL

Kindergarten and Third Grade got together to work on a PBL. The PBL was to come up with solutions for National and State parks with problems that common to the parks. It was great to see the Third graders coaching up the Kinders on how to speak, how to share their information, and how to present to a panelist. Great work.

Symphony Trip

Each year Mrs. Lemons takes the entire 5th grade to Denver to the Symphony. This year’s theme, “Destination Denver”, took students on a journey through Denver’s vibrant neighborhoods and explored the diverse musical traditions of the Mile High City. Joining the CSO on stage were featured artist collaborators (ArtistiCO Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance, and rappers Chinelo “Nelo” Tyler and Wayne Watts). What a great experience.
